I love painting on unorthidox things, ranging from boxes to leaves and feathers, however, I decided to do something a little different… paint on a crystal. I did this because I love the way a crystal’s facets bend light and make things appear distorted or broken. Sort of taking a new perspective on painting, I suppose.
Considering that I’m working ‘backwards’ by the way I do things, the size of the piece (here’s its size next to a penny http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/Nashoba_Hostina/wolfcrystalpenny.jpg ) and the fact that this is sort of a prototype for later pieces, I think it turned out fairly decently. I hope to do more of these in the future, with wrapped handles and the like much like my wands and prayer feathers.
Craft geekery.

That's a really good idea, and looks pretty cool, too.

I know this is old, but I just saw this on the front page and went "what the frick?" and had to click.
This is awesome! That is such a cool idea, but must be an utter pain to execute! So tiny! But you did great!
I guess it helps that I just love crystals...>.>
